It'd be fairly easy to assemble some value loops, as follows: It might need one or two other pieces, probably a really good 2 drop, but this is a huge amount of what the archetype needed.Įdit: Totally forgot about Undead Augur and other death payoffs, Carrion Feeder is probably absurd. The deck might be a bit weird as tribal decks go, probably leaning into TS and Inquisition of Kozilek a bit heavily, but I think this pushes it into moderate competitive viability at least. We also have Phyrexian Crusader to annoy the heck out of red and white decks, TS and Push as amazing interaction, and random cards like Tidehollow Sculler, Stillmoon Cavalier, Tymaret, Dreadhorde Butcher, and prized Amalgam. We have things ranging from ] to ] and ] to draw too many cards. Not as good versus Anger of the Gods or Cry of the Carnarium, but it's pretty cool nonetheless. Diregraf Colossus is a top end that just takes over the game as we jam our one mana zombies, and becomes a horrifically scary threat if we happen to have a Supreme Verdict dropped on our head. We now have two really good one drops(this and Gravecrawler) which incentivize playing zombies and are pretty aggressive. Now we have what is effectively a one-mana pseudo-lord, which changes the whole game entirely. I mean, it had a few three mana lords, but those are pretty slow. This is a black-heavy archetype with some very good one drops, but it had no real Modern quality Zombie payoff.
